About Open Access concept Open Access (OA) means that articles are available freely at the point of use. In other words, OA literature is digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. For more information regarding Open Access concept, please visit one of the following websites: Journal of Electrochemical Science and Engineering (jESE) publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution License. This means that all articles published by jESE, including data, graphics tables and supplement materials, can be reused by other autors, linked on websites, crawled by search engines, or reused by blogs... , free of charge under the sole condition of proper accreditation of the source and the original Publisher. jESE believes that open access publishing can foster the exchange of research results amongst electrochemists world-wide, including from developing countries, as well as to an interested general public. We believe that open access is an enriching part of the science communication that could and should co-exist with all other forms of communication and publication. Note: some articles (especially Reviews) may contain data taken from other publications, for which jESE does not hold the copyright or the right to re-license the published material. Please note that you should inquire with the original copyright holder, if this material could be further re-used. Advantages of Open Access concept Free and unlimited accessibility of the journal contents over the Internet without any restrictions, ensures high availability and high visibility of all open access articles. Everyone can freely access and download the full-text of all articles, readers do not need to pay any subscription or pay-per-view charges to read articles. Articles are more easily included and searchable in search engines and indexing databases. Higher Citation Impact of open access articles due to their high publicity and availability. Less Costly - jESE cover their costs for handling and editing of articles by charging authors, authors' institutes or research funds. All cost is covered through the one-time payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each accepted article. Fee is the same regardless of the length of an article, because we wish to encourage the publication of long papers with complete results and full experimental or computational details. Faster Publication is achieved by the online-only availability. Accepted articles are typically published online more rapidly in jESE than traditional, subscription-based and printed journals. |
